Piknik Theatre creates diverse and professional quality performing arts in the Yampa Valley. This includes indoor and outdoor (admission free) performances and educational opportunities for children and adults. We perform before audiences of up to 1500 per year and teach theatre classes of 10-20 students year round. Northwest Colorado is an underserved area for professional performing arts and our organization fills a valuable cultural niche in the region. We are the only theatre company with professional (Actors Equity Association) artists within 90 miles of Steamboat Springs. These professional actors work collaboratively alongside local artists to enhance their skills; and instruct our educational workshops for local youth.
