YAMPA VALLEY GIVES DAY IS HAPPENING NOW

Our community gave over $700,000 to build the Branham Amphitheatre.
Now we need your help to make it thrive for generations to come.

Give to Piknik Theatre on December 9th and support access to the arts in our community.

DONATE TO PIKNIK THEATRE

Our mission is to create professional and community-inclusive performing arts in the Yampa Valley, ensuring accessibility through free summer Shakespeare productions and community based theatrical workshops and classes. We value arts education and provide opportunities for our artists to teach workshops, engage with schools, and connect with audiences of all ages.

"Nuestra misión es crear artes escénicas profesionales e inclusivas en la comunidad del Valle de Yampa, asegurando la accesibilidad a través de producciones de verano gratuitas. Valoramos la educación artística y brindamos oportunidades para que nuestros artistas impartan talleres, se involucren con las escuelas y se conecten con audiencias de todas las edades."

Theatre is for everyone:

Give Now. Keep the Curtain Rising.

Our community has already done something extraordinary. Together, you gave more than $700,000 to build the Branham Amphitheatre — a gift of vision, trust, and hope. You didn’t just build a stage. You built a home for stories, for children, for families, and for generations who have yet to take their seats under the stars.

During Colorado Gives Day, now through December 9th, your gift powers:
• Free and low-cost performances
• Youth theatre camps and scholarships
• Local artist opportunities
• Community partnerships
• The future of this theatre for generations to come

This is more than a fundraiser.
It’s a legacy moment.

Let’s not just build a theatre — let’s build a future.

Give now through Colorado Gives Day and help us make this stage shine for generations to come.

2025 HIGHLIGHTS

MESSAGE FROM our new executive DIRECTOR

In January of this year, Stuart asked me to formally step into leadership of Piknik Theatre. I said yes with a full heart and with a clear understanding that this next chapter can’t look like the last.

For nearly twenty years, Piknik has lived on Stuart’s vision, grit, and generosity. But to grow, we have to build the structure necessary to evolve and sustain a professional theatre deep in the heart of rural Colorado. This means we must invest in professional leadership, artists, and educators who can deepen our work, mentor young creatives, and bring year-round programming to life.

A professional theatre requires professional infrastructure.

There’s no way around it — and it’s the only way to protect the spirit of what Stuart built.

If this work has ever moved you, made you laugh, challenged you, or reminded you of what it feels like to sit under a summer sky and believe in something bigger — now is the moment.

Your support isn’t just a donation. It’s an act of stewardship.

Let’s build what comes next — together.
