July 13-17th: Once Upon a Secret - Ages 6-9
Once Upon a Secret: Magic, Mystery, and Musical Theatre Tales is a week long musical theatre camp designed for young artists ages 6–9. Inspired by classic storybooks filled with hidden doors, secret messages, magical objects, and mysterious characters, this camp invites children into a world where stories unfold through curiosity, imagination, and play.
Throughout the week, campers explore how mystery and magic function in literature. Secret gardens, enchanted keys, whispered clues, and characters with something to discover all become story starting points. Campers learn that mysteries in books are not about fear, but about wonder, problem solving, and paying close attention to the world around them.
Children explore all elements of musical theatre through guided play, including acting, singing, movement, storytelling, and simple design. Campers create characters, invent magical rules, sing songs, move expressively, and help design props and costumes that bring their mysterious story world to life. Music and rhythm are woven throughout the day to support focus, coordination, and joyful expression. Activities emphasize imagination, cooperation, and confidence rather than memorization or performance pressure.
This camp is intentionally designed to appeal to a wide range of learners. Children may enjoy being performers, storytellers, singers, movers, or creative helpers behind the scenes, and every role is valued as part of the ensemble. No prior theatre or music experience is required.
