Arts Fusion

Music, dance and theatre for every young performer in the Yampa Valley. A free introduction to musical theatre, built together by Opera Steamboat, Steamboat Dance Theatre and Piknik Theatre.

Arts Fusion introduces children to the world of musical theatre. It began in the summer of 2025 as a collaboration between three local performing arts organizations and the Boys & Girls Club.

Each partner brings its own art form. Opera Steamboat leads the music classes, Piknik Theatre leads the acting, and Steamboat Dance Theatre teaches the fundamentals of dance and choreography. Together, kids discover how a musical comes to life, from the first note to the final bow.

Arts Fusion is funded by local grants from the Rotary Club, the City of Steamboat Springs, the Yampa Valley Community Foundation and the Craig Scheckman Family Foundation, and a growing circle of private donors now supports it too.

The program has grown beyond our wildest expectations. Together, we are making sure every child in the Yampa Valley has access to the wonderful world of the performing arts.
