the stuart handloff stage
The Stuart Handloff Stage at the Branham Amphitheater was built for live performance. Its natural acoustics carry voices and acoustic music across the lawn without a sound system, and the setting does the rest. From late spring through early fall, we open the stage to artists, schools, and community organizations across the Yampa Valley.
Great for acoustic concerts, dance and music recitals, readings and storytelling, school performances, community celebrations, ceremonies, and nonprofit events.
Seating: 125 built-in seats, plus lawn space for 75 to 100+ guests with their own chairs
Sound: Naturally amplified stage, no PA needed
Season: Late spring through early fall
Included: On-site portable restrooms and use of the school parking lot, with plenty of space
Showtimes: Daytime and early evening, ending by sunset

The amphitheater sits on the Strawberry Park Elementary campus, so a few house rules keep it a great place for everyone:
All events end by sunset, around 8:30 pm in midsummer.
The stage is designed to carry sound on its own. If you need a little help, small portable speakers are welcome; no large sound systems.
As school district property, the site is fully substance free, including alcohol, tobacco, and cannabis.
Every rental begins with a site tour and soundcheck with our director, so you can see the space, test your sound, and plan your event with confidence.
